CreativeCombined has been formed from the culmination of personal artwork created by professional Automotive Designer, Pete Clarke.
Pete studied at Coventry University, gaining a Masters in Automotive Design.
His career began working for Marcos Sportcars developing the V8 TSO, before moving to the opposite site of the automotive spectrum, developing all-electric commercial vehicles with UK innovators; Modec.
After Modec was taken over by US Truck giants Navistar, Pete’s career led into the concept vehicle world, with many varied design projects involving hypercars, military and commercial vehicles, hydrogen-propelled aircraft and various electric vehicles involving Fiat & Volkswagen. More recently he was been working on the exciting design development of a Hydrogen Fuel Cell HGV artic truck.
Acting as an outlet from his professional life, where work is often generated to tight deadlines and precise briefs, CreativeCombined offers the freedom of exploring new subject matter in his own time – mostly done when his two excitable little kids have gone to bed.
Artwork is generated using various media and methods, with original works often starting out life as pencil sketches, developed further with oil & marker and finally progressed digitally via a Wacom pen tablet, photoshop and various other digital tools.
This has allowed both traditional and modern design methods to be combined into single pieces of art, utilising skills developed during his automotive design work.
You can also see some of Pete’s work on our special Motorsport Art page, which brings together motorsport inspired work from a range of different artists.
